The team was spending time comparing records that a scheduled job could check for them. I built the checks around APIs we already had.

What was getting in the way

The team kept checking internal records and comparing them with external sources by hand. That took time even when the records matched.

What I contributed

I connected existing company APIs with Python and scheduled the validation and comparison jobs. An earlier project connected two internal systems through an API bridge.

How I approached it

Look at the check the team was doing by hand.
Use the APIs already available to get the records.
Schedule the repeated checks.
Show the differences that need a person to review them.
Decide who owns the process and what to do if it stops running.

What changed

The API and Python checks saved an estimated 100+ hours of manual checking each week.
